Sean “Diddy” Combs’ projected federal prison release date has been moved up once again, with updated records showing he is now expected to be released on February 23, 2028, instead of the previously listed date of April 15, 2028.
The adjustment marks the latest change to Combs’ release timeline since he was sentenced in 2025. His original projected release date was set for June 4, 2028, before being revised multiple times to April 25, April 15, and now February 23, 2028.
Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.
Federal officials have not publicly explained the latest reduction. However, reports indicate that participation in prison rehabilitation programs and good conduct credits may have contributed to the revised release date.
Combs’ legal team continues to appeal his conviction and sentence, seeking either a new trial or a resentencing. The appeal remains pending before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
