Atlanta radio personality Big Tigger, whose real name is Darian Morgan, will not face criminal prosecution stemming from allegations that led to his arrest earlier this year.
Morgan was arrested in June in Sandy Springs on charges of aggravated battery and third-degree cruelty to children. He was released the same day after posting bond and has consistently denied the allegations.
According to court documents, the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office has declined to prosecute the case, bringing the criminal proceedings against Morgan to an end. Authorities have not publicly disclosed why prosecutors decided not to move forward.
The allegations stemmed from a May dispute involving Morgan and his estranged wife, Alicia Brown, at their Sandy Springs home. The child-cruelty charge was connected to allegations that a child was present in the home during the confrontation.
Following his arrest, Morgan stepped away from his longtime morning radio program on Atlanta’s V-103 while the legal matter unfolded. He previously said he unequivocally denied the allegations and expressed confidence in the legal process.
The decision not to prosecute means Morgan will not stand trial on the criminal charges. It does not constitute a jury verdict or an acquittal, and separate family or civil matters connected to the dispute may remain unresolved.
