LISA is celebrating another major milestone in her solo career after taking home the Best Pop award at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards for “Dream” featuring Kentaro Sakaguchi.
The BLACKPINK superstar proudly posed with her Moon Person backstage following the win, marking one of the biggest moments of the night. The 2026 VMAs were held Sunday, September 27, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
“Dream” was competing against tracks from Ariana Grande, Charli xcx, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Tate McRae and Taylor Swift. LISA was also nominated for Best K-Pop, Best Cinematography and Best Editing for the same song.
The win became an emotional moment for LISA. During her acceptance speech, she thanked MTV, her collaborators and her fans, known as Lilies, while reflecting on the dreams that brought her to the stage.
“Dream” has also been a significant part of LISA’s solo era, with Kentaro Sakaguchi featured in the song and its visual presentation. The VMA recognition adds another major achievement to the track’s growing list of milestones.
