The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $975 million, putting the massive prize within striking distance of the $1 billion mark ahead of Wednesday night’s drawing.
The jackpot grew after no ticket matched all six numbers in Monday night’s drawing. The next drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, with an estimated cash value of $422.3 million for a winner who chooses the lump-sum option instead of the annuity.
The latest jackpot run has now stretched to 43 consecutive drawings without a grand-prize winner, making the $975 million prize the largest Powerball jackpot of 2026 so far.
Monday’s winning numbers were 6, 37, 54, 55 and 64, with the red Powerball number 10. Although no ticket won the jackpot, one Tennessee player matched all five white balls and added the Power Play option to win $2 million. Players in California and Maryland also won $1 million prizes for matching the five white balls.
Powerball tickets cost $2 per play, and the odds of winning the jackpot are approximately 1 in 292.2 million, underscoring just how difficult it is to claim the top prize.
If no player wins Wednesday night, the jackpot will continue rolling over and could move even closer to the billion-dollar threshold in the following drawing.
