The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) Atlanta is expanding its academic offerings with the launch of a new Music Production degree program beginning this fall, providing students with hands-on training for careers in the music and entertainment industry.

The program is designed to prepare aspiring producers, audio engineers, composers, and recording artists through a curriculum that combines creative development with technical expertise. Students will gain experience in recording, mixing, mastering, sound design, music technology, and production for film, television, gaming, and digital media.

Located in one of the nation’s most influential music cities, SCAD Atlanta aims to leverage the region’s thriving entertainment industry by connecting students with professional opportunities, industry mentors, and collaborative projects.

The new degree reflects the growing demand for skilled professionals in music production as streaming platforms, digital content creation, and multimedia entertainment continue to expand globally.

University officials say the program will emphasize real-world experience, allowing students to work in professional studio environments while developing the technical and creative skills needed to succeed in today’s evolving music industry.

The addition of the Music Production program further strengthens SCAD Atlanta’s reputation as a destination for students pursuing careers in creative arts, media, and entertainment.
