The ranking examined more than 200 American cities and considered factors that can shape the hybrid-work experience, including access to coworking spaces, affordability, transportation, quality of life and flexible employment opportunities.
Atlanta stood out for its strong coworking network and growing number of jobs that allow employees to divide their time between home and the office.
The city’s large business community also gives workers access to a wide range of industries and career opportunities. At the same time, coworking spaces provide alternatives for professionals who want an office environment without committing to a traditional workplace.
Affordability was another factor working in Atlanta’s favor. Compared with several major U.S. business centers, the city offers workers and companies relatively accessible options for office and coworking space.
The ranking reflects the continuing evolution of the American workplace. Hybrid schedules have become an important option for employees who want greater flexibility while still maintaining opportunities for face-to-face collaboration and professional networking.
Atlanta isn’t without challenges. Traffic and commuting remain concerns for many residents, and some parts of the metro area are less walkable or transit-friendly than other major U.S. cities.
