NEW YORK — Fox News Media is parting ways with longtime business journalist and television host Maria Bartiromo, ending her more than 12-year run with the company.
Fox announced Thursday, September 3, that Bartiromo was no longer with the network, effective immediately. The company thanked her for her years of work but did not publicly provide a reason for the separation.
Bartiromo was one of Fox’s most recognizable business and political personalities. She hosted “Mornings with Maria” on Fox Business, “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street,” and Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures.”
Her final episode of “Mornings with Maria” aired Thursday morning. Beginning Friday, the program will be renamed “Mornings with Fox Business” and will feature rotating anchors. “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street” will also be rebranded as “FBN’s Wall Street.”
For “Sunday Morning Futures,” Jason Chaffetz will serve as the host this Sunday while Fox searches for a permanent replacement.
Bartiromo joined Fox in 2014 after spending more than two decades at CNBC, where she established herself as a prominent financial journalist and became known for her Wall Street coverage.
Her departure comes after she had been absent from Fox programming for several weeks, with her last known appearance airing August 9. She has not publicly commented on her exit.
The sudden move marks the end of a significant chapter for one of the most recognizable names in American business television.
