For twenty years, BLACK GIRLS ROCK! has mostly lived on a stage for one televised night a year. On October 14, founder Beverly Bond announced that the brand is going on the road: a multi-year partnership with the Black Promoters Collective will launch BGR! LIVE, a live entertainment platform whose first arena tour begins in early 2027.

The pairing is the story. BLACK GIRLS ROCK! brings the audience and the meaning, two decades of honoring Black women across music, film, business, and activism since Bond, a DJ, founded it in 2006. The Black Promoters Collective brings the machinery: a coalition of six independent companies, 100 percent Black-owned, and the only wholly Black-owned live music company on Pollstar’s Global Top 100 Promoters list, at No. 39, and No. 3 among urban promoters worldwide. Its chief executive, Gary Guidry, told Pollstar in June that the company passed $100 million in top-line revenue in 2025.

What has been announced, and what has not

The tour will reach select cities across the United States. The partners have not yet named the cities, the artists, the venues, or the ticket dates, and the platform is described as reaching beyond the tour into concerts and festivals. Bond framed it as a new era: “Together, we’re opening a new era for the brand, bringing our creative vision and cultural impact to the grandest stages through extraordinary experiences that celebrate Black music, artistry, and community.”

The brand underneath the tour remains part celebration, part pipeline. Alongside the awards, which reached a national television audience on BET in 2010, the BLACK GIRLS ROCK! nonprofit runs mentorship and leadership programs for teenage girls of color. An arena tour gives that mission a commercial engine of a different scale: the same name that fills a theater for an awards taping, now routed through the country’s big rooms by promoters who look like the audience.

Twenty years in, the celebration is becoming a business with a road schedule. The dates are the next announcement to watch.
