Taylor Swift Makes Billboard History With 100 Weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200

October 12, 2026

Taylor Swift has reached another historic milestone, becoming the first solo artist to spend a cumulative 100 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The achievement places her alongside The Beatles as the only acts to reach the century mark in the chart’s nearly 70-year history.

The milestone comes as Swift’s album The Life of a Showgirl returns to the top of the chart for its 14th nonconsecutive week at No. 1, according to the Billboard 200 dated October 17, 2026. The album earned approximately 93,000 equivalent album units in the latest tracking week, helping Swift reach the landmark total.

Swift’s 100 weeks at the summit have come through 15 chart-topping albums spanning nearly two decades. Her catalog includes releases such as Fearless, Red, 1989, folklore, Midnights and The Tortured Poets Department, each contributing to her remarkable run on the chart.

The Beatles remain ahead of Swift with 132 cumulative weeks at No. 1. The legendary British group built its total through 19 chart-topping albums, including Meet the Beatles!, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Abbey Road and the compilation 1.

Swift’s latest achievement follows the renewed success of The Life of a Showgirl, which returned to No. 1 after the release of an expanded edition featuring four additional songs. The deluxe release helped revive interest in the album and pushed it back to the top of the weekly rankings.

The Billboard 200 measures the most popular albums in the United States using a combination of album sales, track-equivalent albums and streaming-equivalent albums. Its rankings reflect how listeners consume music across physical, digital and streaming formats.

Taylor Swift’s 100-week milestone underscores the sustained commercial performance of her music across multiple album eras. While The Beatles continue to hold the all-time record, Swift has established a historic benchmark among solo performers and added another defining achievement to her career.
